Ask Abbe

Abbe value is a number given to describe the amount of chromatic abberation (distortions) of an opthalmic lens material.  Hi index has the least amount of distortions followed closely by Polycarbonate.  Ask Abbe is our on-line opportunity to answer questions and provide interesting eye-related facts. FVC Dry Eye Center

Family Vision Clinic of Savage is proud to announce its new Dry Eye Center. After years of studying dry eye and recent advancements in the treatment of dry eye disease we have developed a center for our patients.  Treatment for dry eye disease may include artificial tears, gels and lubrication ointment at bedtime, daily eyelid hygiene scrub procedures, a prescribed medication regimen, omego-3 essential fatty acid nutritional supplements (fish or flaxseed oil), punctual (tear drainage) occlusion of the eyelid to retain moisture.
