Dr. Hurst's fascination with vision and the study of light began early in her life. A mentor in her hometown of Redwood Falls, MN, guided her to her dream career. Dr. Hurst, an alumna of the University of Minnesota, graduated with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2000.
Her journey culminated in the opening of her private optometric practice in August 2002, a dream she and her husband, John, shared. Dr. Hurst is not just an optometrist; she's a vibrant contributor to the Savage community. In 2008, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce recognized her as Business Person of the Year.
In 2011, Dr. Hurst established the FVC Scholarship, awarded to a senior in ISD 719 pursuing a medical degree. The scholarship was renamed the Dr. Jenna L. Sculley Memorial Scholarship in 2018 in memory of FVC's beloved doctor.
Dr. Hurst is devoted to her patients, ensuring everyone feels welcome in the office. Her dedication to excellence, quality, and patient satisfaction is unwavering. Beyond her practice, she cherishes family time with her husband, daughter, and twin sons. She enjoys lakeside moments, shopping, reading, and, of course, chocolate!
